We are rounding the corner to fall. Can you believe it? We are talking about Labor Day Sales.
2012 has flown by in a hurry, but that doesn’t mean your home has to look like it’s been caught in the scurry. Fall is a great time to step back and take a fresh look at your surroundings. If you are like me, you’ve been talking about making some changes all summer long! Unfortunately, life happens. The kids are out of school, you’re taking summer vacations, toting kids off to summer camps, somehow pulling yourself out of bed for work and still trying to squeeze in some one on one family time. Summer goes by in a flash and nothing gets done. Not even the usual things like cleaning! Well….maybe yours does! So this is a great time to remember those changes you were talking about back at the end of May and get busy making them.
Lucky for you, Main Street Shoppes Labor Day Sale starts September 1st and runs through the 9th. Merchant discounts will be store wide and range from 10% up to 50%. That’s 9 whole days of savings! So starting planning again. Get excited about those changes you were so pumped up about 5 months ago that are now huddling in the corner with your new pets….dust bunnies. Here are just a few things that you are likely to find. However, I would get there on the 1st. Things go quickly!
Here are some fun vintage fans! These add a subtle feel of vintage to any room. Plus it will put off more air than any fan you can buy these days. These can be found upstairs in shop # 65.
Looking for something a little more shabby chic? How about this cute little vanity desk. Don’t you just love the hardware on this? This can be found at Royal Suite Restorations (Shop #75) upstairs as well.
Need some extra storage? This Hoosier style cabinet might be perfect for your home! Shop #34 upstairs.
Looking for Coca-Cola or Pepsi memorabilia….Porch Swing Studios (Shop 18, downstairs) has you covered.
What about showing off your American Pride? This would make a great addition! shop #33, downstairs
This has got to be one of the coolest things at Main Street Shoppes right now! Can’t you just see this hanging on a wall. There are some many possibilities for this. I just L-O-V-E it! Shop #64, downstairs.
I have had my eye on this piece since it was brought into Shop #44 upstairs. If I had a place to hang it, it would have been mine a LONG time ago. It’s a black and white photo of The Circle in downtown Indianapolis and lights up from behind. This picture does not due it justice you have to see it in person. If you have a loft apartment or a room that has soaring cathedral ceilings, I am talking to you…you need to own this piece! It is stunning! But, it’s big! You need to have the wall space for it.
So you are saying, this is all great stuff and I love it all, but I already have too much stuff!
What about recreating what you already have? Join us, Saturday, September 1st (the first day of the Labor Day Sale) from 11-3.
The Pauper’s Castle will be doing a paint demo with CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk & Clay Paint. This is the perfect paint for sprucing up that tired old piece of furniture that you have thought about donating, but just can’t let go of. This paint is 100% Green, No VOC’s (volatile organic compounds…the stuff that makes paint stink), No odor and completely Non-Toxic. It’s good for you and the environment! No prep work is needed prior to painting your piece….Yes….I said no prep work! No sanding, No priming! So come out, learn about this fabulous paint, ask questions, paint a few strokes on the demo piece and see for yourself. They will be giving out 72 sample size pots for you to recreate your own small project and home. But, remember, it’s only 72, so when they are gone, they are gone. There are 36 colors available and they can be mixed to create custom colors so I am sure you will find the perfect shade!
So come on out! It’s time to make some changes on the home front. Change is good and it will give you a sense of calm before the hustle and bustle of the holidays start!
